Sharon Bord, MD

Dr. Bord is the Director of the Core Clerkship and SubInternship programs in EM. For the last decade she has brought incredible energy and expertise to this role. She also serves as the co-director of the TRIPLE course, an innovative multidisciplinary experience for M4 students preparing to begin internship.  Previously, she has taken her skills on the road, co-directing a Transition to the Wards course for M2 students beginning clerkships in southeast Asia.  Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with her husband and two ridiculously adorable curly-haired daughters.

Amelia Pousson, MD, MPH 
Dr. Pousson is the Associate Director of the Core Clerkship and SubInternship programs in EM.
 

Regina Brillman, MPH
Regina is the Medical Student Coordinator for the Department of Emergency Medicine and supports Drs. Bord and Pousson with their work on the Core Clerkship and Subinternship. Regina is passionate about helping students become well-rounded, trauma-informed medical providers. Her career thus far in public health has included a variety of different of roles such as research, lobbying, policy analysis, and homeless services. In 2020, Regina's friend (a doctor!) recommended she apply to work as a standardized patient (SP) in the Simulation Center at Johns Hopkins. She loved working with the students so much she moved into her current full-time role with EM. She also works as a Medical Teaching Associate (or "specialty SP"), at other universities in the DMV and the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, and serves as a community advisor for the MPH program at the University of Maryland. Outside of work, Regina likes hiking with her two dogs, traveling with her husband, and doing absolutely anything with her precious son, born in 2022.
